Hi, I need some advice from anyone who has studied the Access to HE diploma for medicine, particularly the Agored Cymru but if not any advice would be much appreciated.
Does this course accept students coming straight out of A Levels?
I am currently thinking of applying to the Access to HE diploma in medicine that is offered at Coleg Gwent as my alevels are in maths, history, government and politics and I am really keen on going to study medicine at university. However, I am just wondering if I would actually be able to enter the course. I have strong GCSE grades and A Levels, however I do not fall under being a ‘mature student’ that this course is aimed for as I would be 18 when entering the course and turning 19 throughout it. I understand this course it advertised for 19+ but I honestly have no other clue on how to get access into medicine unless I do another two years of alevels which honestly, I am really avoiding as that means I would have to do another 2 years of alevels after already completing them.
The answer to this may be blatantly obvious so I apologise if I have wasted your time. But any tips or advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!
