Inquiry regarding the application progress for the Master of Science Communication

Hi everyone,

I’ve applied to the MSc Science Communication programme at Imperial College London this year. I’ve noticed that some applicants have already received interview invitations and even completed their interviews, but my application status has not been updated yet.

I contacted the admissions team earlier, and they mentioned that the process is slightly delayed and that I may need to wait a bit longer for an update.

I was wondering if anyone could share some insights:

1 . Does Imperial send out interview invitations in batches and conduct interviews on a rolling basis, or do they send all invitations first and then schedule interviews later?

2 . My application status is still showing “with department” — does this usually mean the application is still under review, or could it indicate being waitlisted or not actively considered?

I would really appreciate any advice or shared experiences. Thank you!
