Resources for Ambulance Technician Studies

I've been accepted into a 1 year uni course for Ambulance Technician Practice at NTU Mansfield and was told to get ahead on the physiology and anatomy content. However, there are so many resources available I'm a little lost on what I should read and where to start.

Hi,

Congratulations on your place to study with us at NTU Mansfield! We're looking forward to meeting you properly once your course starts. It can absolutely be a whirlwind trying to find resources to prepare - I've pulled a few books from the course reading list if that helps, listed below:

Ross & Wilson anatomy and physiology in health and illness - Waugh, Anne, Grant, Allison; Ross, Janet S., 14th edition (9780323834605).

Sirens and Stories: An Anthology of the Paramedic Profession: Real-Life Tales from the Frontline of the Ambulance Service - Eaton, Georgette (9781801610551) (not necessarily anatomy related, but comes recommended by our Paramedic Science academics).

These are likely to be useful in your studies going forward, and there are a wealth of resources available at the NTU Mansfield library once you start. As well as this, there's fantastic series of educational content curated by The Anatomical Society here.

I hope this helps, let us know if you have any questions!
