LSE or Imperial

I got Imperial EFDS, LSE accounting and finance as two of my offers.

Which is better and what is the acceptance rate for both courses? Also which degree is more prestigious

Congrats, those are two very strong offers so you’re in a great position.
In terms of competitiveness, both are extremely selective. Imperial College London EFDS is one of the hardest courses in the UK to get into, with a roughly 3–4% acceptance rate for Economics, Finance and Data Science:
https://www.uniadmissions.co.uk/application-guides/imperial-acceptance-rates/

For London School of Economics and Political Science Accounting and Finance, it’s slightly higher but still very competitive at around 6%: https://www.uniadmissions.co.uk/application-guides/lse-acceptance-rate/

So purely on numbers, Imperial EFDS is harder to get into.
When it comes to which is better, it really depends on what you want. It can help to think about which course content you find more interesting, whether you’d enjoy a highly quantitative degree, and what kind of career you see yourself pursuing. Both are top-tier, so employers will value either. It’s more about where you’ll perform and enjoy yourself most.

It’s worth looking into things like teaching style, campus environment, transport, alumni networks, and first-class degree rates to see what suits you best.

Hope this helped,
Alfred,
Ulaw.

Hey would you mind telling me which a levels you take? I'm thinking about applying to the same courses as you but I don't do further maths a level so I just wanted to see if you don't do it either 🙏
