Is this too much?

I'm in year 12 currently doing my A-levels ( english lit, psychology and geography) and I wanna talk about my future and can I have some advice please

So after sixth form I would love to apply for english literature at Royal Holloway university and do the 4 year ( with placement) degree because I do truly love english and what's better than studying it in the most beautiful university ever?
However, my only problems is that the job opportunities for english do not really appeal to me ( law, teaching, journalism)

So I was thinking after I could do a conversion course for psychology at another university( maybe Kings College)( 3 years into 1 intense year) be chase I love psychology and it pays well and has job opportunities especially to increase with young people and mental health problems
Then after I get degree in psychology I would like to go back to Royal Holloway and do the doctorate and maybe even masters?

This is a lot of time dedicated to studying and exams and stuff so I'm wondering if it's too much? Would it all be worth it when im a, clinical psychology hologisr in London ?

Hey, I think it’s awesome that you love both English and psychology!
But doing all of that back-to-back sounds really intense and stressful. Maybe you could focus on just psychology from the start that way you still get into clinical psychology without adding extra years, and you can explore your love for English alongside it.

Hey @Liamgriff18,

It's great to see that you're passionate about both English and Psychology and have clearly thought about what you might like to do in the future. My advice is to take it one step at a time - focus on completing your A-Levels and then moving onto your undergraduate degree. If you'd like to pursue a Master's or a Doctorate at a later point, that's great, but try not to worry too much about having to make that decision right now. I didn't realise I wanted to do a Master's until my third year of undergraduate studies. It could be useful to speak to a careers advisor in your school or talk to your parents about your plans to get new perspectives as well.

Hope this helps,
Eve (Kingston Rep).

Which other unis have you visited because I dispute your judgement of 'the most beautiful university ever'?

Do both (nice choice of universities, btw), but practicality first, passion second.

If you want a career in psychology, then would it be better to do psychology at uni to start with?
Maybe study english etc in your free time.
