LAE Stratford Offer Holders

Hi guys, I just wanted to see what other offer holders for LAES are choosing as their A-Level options and what predicted grades they got offers with.

I’m choosing maths, further maths, physics and economics and my predicteds are 99888888877.

I wish everyone the best of luck with revision and exams coming up.

I’m genuinely lost on how Stratford was giving out offers. Ik 2 ppl who were predicted 12 9s and got rejected, and another who was predicted 11. I was predicted 10 9s 2 8s and recieved an offer for maths fm econ and politics

i think it’s a lot to do with the oversubscription criteria eg. young carers, fsm and a language but im honestly not too sure how they did the offers either because even people with all 9s got rejected. i am on fsm so i think that was the main reason i got an offer

Ooo I see
But ye free school meals was defo the reason, cuz my friend was predicted all 7s and 2 9s and got in, and he had fsm.
But ye I applied to Brampton and ncs too, and luckily those ones look at ur real GCSEs rather than anything else, which is way better for me.

It also depends on what subjects you applied for. As a general rule of thumb, STEM subjects are heavily oversubscribed, there's often more space for humanities/social sciences

I applied for English Literature, Politics and Psychology, and I have predicteds of all 9s (I take 9 GCSEs)

I think its a combination of grades (obviously) + oversubscription criteria + references + subject choices.

I got an offer with predicted 11 9’s and an A in FSMQ + a teacher submitted an extra reference for me which is probably why I got one. I think I’m a bit of an exception tho cause I do Bio, Chem, Maths & Spanish and don’t fit the oversubscription criteria or have fsm so idk

On the criteria, people who pick languages are prioritised. Cuz I’ve also heard they’re trying to expand their mfl section too.

Ah didn’t know that. I don’t think it applies to me though cause I added a language after I had already got my original offer.

Thanks! Honestly, I salute *you*, STEM is pretty trying. Can't fathom taking A Level further maths with three other subjects personally, so kudos to you!

two languages picked here and no offer, so definitely not prioritised

It is prioritised. You can see the full admissions policy on their website. It being prioritised doesn't mean that you're guaranteed to get in with it, there are a variety of factors

Generally I've seen a lot of people on here curious about what's prioritised, so if anyone wants to see, you can check here https://0e58658be539ee7325a0-220f04f871df648cf4a4d93a111e3366.ssl.cf3.rackcdn.com/londonacademy/uploads/document/Final-Updated-LAE-Admissions-Policy-for-September-2026.pdf?t=1764755387

Not necessarily. I got an offer and I don’t fit any of the over subscription criteria. My predicted grades are 12 9s. There is something else they are not telling us because it is very random. Some people even get in with no Grade 9s.

I think that could be the case but you never know if the people with no 9s don’t fit the over subscription criteria. I’m honestly not sure either because I know a lot of people predicted all 9s but still didn’t get an offer. they may take different aspects into consideration tho idk

When did you submit your application? I'm wondering if that had anything to do with it as it all seems so random!
