Accommodation for Ravensbourne / London

I am to be starting a course at Ravensbourne University London from September and am now looking for accommodation within decent range of the uni (London.) If anyone can help with suggestions on where to look or how to look for places with suitable/convenient transport links to the Greenwich Peninsula / campus other than the places suggested on Rave's website, it would be greatly appreciated. It's all a bit overwhelming for me right now, as I am from Wiltshire, and am not acquainted with the London area / transport links. Thanks!
