Cardiff or Bristol

I’m not sure which one I would like to go to more Cardiff for psychology because it’s got a higher ranking. Downside of this is that I’d have to live at home

Or do I choose Bristol psychology in education cause I’m interested in that department. Cons of this is that I’ve heard Bristol is an expensive city.

Hi there,

I wouldn’t choose a uni purely on the higher ranking as every university will have come top in one sort of league table, there are so many that they become pretty meaningless. Look at the courses first and foremost which one do you think you would want to study more? This is the reason you’re going to university. Everything else adds to your experience but I think the priority needs to be the modules that you study etc, the one most aligned to your personal preferences would be the one I’d go for.

Please choose Bristol:

Benefits:

Independence with ability to live on your own rather than at home

Bristol has great social life

Top academics

Excellent graduate opportunities.

Also good links to Cardiff, if you want to go home.

Thriving city
