Catered halls at uni of nottingham

Which are the best halls to chose at uon for a good social life, good location and good food? I'm also hoping its not too expensive.

At the moment I'm looking at cripps, derby, lincoln, nightingale, lenton & wortley, rutland.

Also do all these halls have sinks in the non-ensuite rooms?

Hi!
Most of the catered halls you’ve listed are pretty similar in terms of food because they all share the same catering system (breakfast + dinner + £25 a week lunch allowance), so it’s more about location and price than food itself.

For social life, generally:

•

Cripps and Derby are probably the most social - they’re central on campus and a lot goes on there (Derby even has a bar).

•

Lenton & Wortley is also quite social, plus it’s still really close to campus and transport links.

•

Nightingale is in the far end of campus, near David Ross, but you don’t hear as much about it socially in comparison to the others

•

The others I am not so sure about, might be worth looking on TikTok for some advice regarding those? 🙂

Location-wise, most of these are on/near University Park anyway, but:

•

Cripps/Derby are most central

•

Nightingale would be the farthest from city centre or Jubilee campus for example

Price-wise:

•

Cripps/Derby tend to be more expensive

•

Lenton & Wortley, Rutland and Lincoln are usually cheaper

•

all depending on which room you get though! bigger bed/ensuite = more expensive

For your last question - yes, most non-ensuite rooms do have sinks, Lincoln might not. Do have a look on the accommodation room website though to make sure! Click here!

Hope this helps a bit, I stayed on off-campus self catered accom but this is the best I can give you!
