Interview for class assignment

Hey yall! I have an assignment for my behavioral healthcare class and have to interview someone of a different culture then me to develop an understanding of the cultural factors that shape the persons cultural identity.

I would prefer if we could do it over like text or messages if anyone’s interested just because I have a pretty busy work schedule. Please if anyone’s interested let me know I’ll drop the questions below.

.Can you tell me about your early childhood and the values your parents or caregivers emphasized while you were growing up?

.What is your earliest memory of becoming aware that you belonged to a culturally different group? How did that experience affect you?

.What role has religion or spirituality played in your life, both growing up and now?

.If applicable, can you describe your immigration experience and how it has shaped who you are today?

.What similarities or differences have you noticed between how couples interact in the U.S. and in your culture of origin?

.What was your experience in school like as someone from a cultural minority background?

.Have you experienced subtle or overt racism or discrimination? If so, how did those experiences impact you?

.How did you decide on your career path? What factors or influences played a role in your decision-making?

.Have you ever felt different because of the language(s) you speak? Can you describe those experiences?

.How would you describe your attitudes toward the majority culture in the U.S.?

.To what extent have you felt a desire—or pressure—to adopt the values, lifestyle, or attitudes of the majority culture?

.Within your own cultural background, have you observed any stereotypes or biases toward other groups? How do you think about those?

.What strengths from your cultural background have helped you adapt or cope with living in the U.S.?

.What are your thoughts or feelings about seeking counseling or receiving mental health support?
