Cardiff Uni accommodation reccomedations?

Hi, I’ve firmed Cardiff and I’m currently struggling to choose accommodation. I don’t really drink or enjoy partying, and I’ve heard that Talybont South can be quite loud, so I’m not sure it would suit me.

I’m considering places like Talybont Court and Gate, are they worth the higher price, especially if you prefer a quieter environment? Or would going private be a better option?

Also, my friend has firmed Cardiff too, would we be able to request to be placed together in accommodation?

I’d especially love to hear from anyone who stayed in Court or Gate, but I appreciate any advice, thank you!
