Public Policy MSc at Reading Uni

Just got accepted to study a masters in public policy at Reading and wondered what any current students on the course/ within the politics department find the uni? The uni itself really appeals to me I love how it’s a nice green campus and not too far from London but unsure if it is worth the money to develop a career in government policy? How good is reading for careers/ networking in politics?

Hi there @annabel021 ,

Huge congratulations on your offer, thats great news! 🙂

I have been studying at the uni for 3 years now, and I agree that the main advantages are the wonderful green campus and the proximity to London, both are really helpful for studying and also career building opportunities.

You may want to try and speak to one of our students currently studying the course, you can do so here!

Being close to London is an advantage for things like events related to your chosen study area, internships, networking events and talks. We also have a very good careers service within the uni which offers loads of free additional support which you can read about here which is a very useful tool 🙂

Do let us know if you have any more questions about student life or studying here at Reading, we are happy to help where we can!

All the best,
Millie 🙂
