UoB accom

I am applying for accommodation for the University of Birmingham but I’m stuck on choosing between two choices? I’m set on the Vale but it’s between Mason and Tennis Courts. I’m aware both are social and Mason has en suite bathrooms which is what I would prefer, however I know I’m going to get the lowest SFE so I don’t know if Mason (where the rent is £200 a week) is smarter than Tennis Courts (where rent is about £140 a week). Mason is obviously nicer, but would it be worth it economically? Or is Tennis Courts the way to go?

I was in tennis courts (more specifically green community) and I could not recommend it enough its by far the best accom in the vale definetely the closest to campus and the flat sizes themselves are decent and room furnishings are great. I think ensuite isn't super important to be the deciding factor but if that is important to you I think there are some en suites in tennis courts too.

I think distance from uni and selly oak should be a big deciding factor as the big aldi, where groceries are cheapest are in selly, I think it would be best not to tuck yourself too deep into the vale. But I know people who were in mason and they thought it was okay- it can be a bit noisy there so bare that in mind!

depends what you want out of the accommodation really. Tennis is defo more social and busy, but obviously mason is nicer. Personally (I'm currently in chamberlain) ensuite is important to me for that privacy and more personal space. if it is something you can do without, then id say choose tennis courts. I'd say economically probably not worth the 200 compared to 140
