Can I study physics at Russell Group uni with Product Design A-level?

I do Maths, Physics, and Product design a level, but i want to do a degree in physics. is there a chance that russle group unis will say i cant do physics because product design isn't a science? or like raise the entry requirements for me? i haven't heard of anything like this but my friend mentioned it and i cant find anything about it on uni websites.

Hiya,

No I don't think so. They have minimum entry requirements that you must meet in the specified subjects. As long as you meet those you're fine. E.g. if they want ABB with an A in physics, then you need to get the A in physics and any 2 other subjects (with the exception for many being subjects like general studies)

Have you looked at any university entry requirements ? York for example specifies AAB including maths and physics.. You should be fine. Research the specific universities you want to go to.
