Student finance says for my dad HMRC citizen not found exception but when he checks his student finance account it’s says to check his email for instruction despite him having no emails from hmrc, anyone know what to do?

Has he received an email from us on his online account with student finance? He would log into his online account for student finance and check his inbox.
