Conditional offer
Hi
Could somebody tell me if i still have a chance for my offer. Salford has given me a conditional offer for 45 credits at distinction but one of my unit was graded merit which means I have already lost 3 points. I am doing an access course btw. Is there still a chance that they would consider my application? I don't have any other options and I want to go to salford as well. Does anybody has gone through something like this?

How many credits are you taking?

There are total 45 credits which are graded. We have 15 chapters to cover and eacg chapter has 3 credits which get to be graded at distinction, merit or pass. One of my chapters was graded at merit which has me worried because my conditional offer says all 45 credits should be at distinction.

That's not good. Are all your others at distinction?

Definitely drop our admissions team an email - they'll be able to look at the specifics of your offer and advise! I'd also add that we don't only consider your grades as a part of our decisions, we'll look at your personal statement and if you've had an interview/portfolio stage as a part of your application we'll consider the outcome of that too. Our admissions team like to review all parts of the application before making a final decision around results day, but if you're really worried it might be worth having a chat with your teachers/staff on the access course to see if there's any possibility of remarking/resubmission?
