Diagnostic radiogrophy(class gender)
guys is this normal? Ive went to an opendsy to see diagnosric radiogrophy course for people who were given an offer, and i was one of them.
though what i relaised is that all the students were females and iam the only male in the class.
I dont mean it in a rude way, but honestly having another male in class would be apricated,😂.
I genounley dont mean to be rude, but put your self in my pesetion, going to class filled with boys and u are the only female, its bit unconfertable.
am i the only person who had this experiance or did anyone else relalise that too?

It's not hugely uncommon for healthcare professions courses having a demographic skew towards women as I understand. I think it would be unlikely you would be the only guy though (you may simply have been the only guy to go to the offer day) for a diagnostic radiography course (whereas e.g. midwifery where it might be more possible!), although being in the minority rather than e.g. an even gender distribution is fairly possible.
Remember also though these demographics reflect the demographics of your future workplace - according to this report by the King's Trust over three quarters of NHS staff are women: https://www.kingsfund.org.uk/insight-and-analysis/data-and-charts/nhs-workforce-nutshell
So with a goal of working as a radiographer becoming comfortable in a majority woman environment is probably necessary and thus even if your degree cohort was mostly women, this would still be useful experience to get used to navigating that kind of environment. However the good thing is that its likely you will become more comfortable with that over time as you experience it in your course and within jobs in the NHS
As far as your uni experience though it is worth keeping in mind you aren't completely siloed off from the rest of the uni and will have opportunities to engage with and make friends with people on other courses as well as your own. Also you may find that in a majority female course you may forge closer friendships with the handful of guys on the course as well as making friends among the women on the course.
