Not with the like 5 thank you posts and the content of the actual post - ie. completely non-inflammatory - just a badly phrased title.

It's very good. I applied for Maths, got an offer, but missed my offer and they wouldn't take me. And I had AAAB at A-level.

sori, what do u mean by 'miss ur offer'? do u mean u didn't meet the requirement in the offer they gave u?

thx!

thank you very much !!

i did read the website of imperial frequently, and i found it update after i sent off my ucas form. i didn't think i find anything like 'get A in all maths modules' before i sent it, but after that it did change the info of its maths department..

or did i just read the information of it carelessly??

god i applied for 2 deparments of maths in IC, one for with stat, another one is with stat for finance.

can do nothing but SIGH

Same thing happened for my course. When I first applied, it didn't say I needed an A in all maths modules but now it does. Luckily I have all As... so far.

I think the maths department had this requirement before as I remember seeing it last year, though I'm not 100% sure.
I'm pretty sure they've just introduced it this year.

I didnt get A in every module, either. I think it possible that after cambridge's rejection, imperial college will reject me as well. So i would put warwick as my firm, UCL as my insurance lol.

this is the worst news i know in the new year :frown:

thanks for all your helps very much!

They put it up around May/June or something. As in every module was not required for 2008 entry (you just needed As, resits allowed, in C1 - C4 + FP1 - FP3).

Ah right, the OP should still probably have checked the website before he sent off his application.

This is not as bad as Bristol who had AAA for computer science then changed it to AAA-AAB around September.

I didn't initially apply because of the high requirements but I changed one of my choices afterwards after I saw it.

It doesn't quite trump TVU or Bolton (obviously), but if you like glass-and-steel monoliths then it definitely inhabits a league of its own.
