so as far as i know, there has been very very limited action from cambridge over the last 2 days???

does this mean that we have to query our theory that they have already made most of their decisions and that they're now spending all this time trying to sort everyone in the pool out??

from what i can see....

the majority of people on this thread haven't heard yet - no interview or offer or rejection.

today was the last day that we could be offered an interview.

so basically, people who haven't heard till now are going to get an offer/rejection from another college by the 10th, or their application will get sent back to their original college and they will be notified of the final result via phone call/email/letter/track..whether it is an offer or a rejection...

is that a decent summary of the situation so far?

Sounds like it. Nice to see someone being all logical and calm for a change! How'd you manage it? :p:

Sorry, is that your effort and being sarcastic? If so...

not being sarcastic at you:smile: but just being pessimistic :s-smilie:

Yes, and many of our files have been returned to our original college (or so we believe, as we logged on to our SAQ's earlier). Thus, it seems we are either going to get a rejection tomorrow, be taken by our original college, or be considered once again after the interviews tomorrow (for art applicants).

Lets see....any of the demoralised brigade applying to:

Warwick/Durham/Exeter/Southampton?

The outcome is going to be cruel anyway-rejection equals immediate heartache, and an offer after a week's wait is akin to being kicked in the crotch and then helped up and looked after by the same person; although I'm not saying I think I'll get an offer.

Some of my friends have let their places go to their heads though, sadly.

I've applied to Durham! Doubt I'll get in though. :frown:

It does sound like just about nobody has been offered a place or an interview on here since Monday. The thing that's been most confusing today is that most people's SAQs have become active again under their original college, and whether that means we've all been rejected.

haha i think i just had enough of all the speculation really. i wanted to clear my head and try and put facts into place so that i could stop all the stress that's built up over the last 4-5 days.

i think that this whole wait for some action has gone on so long now that i've kind of got over it...not that i don't care what happens...i've just reached a point where i think it's worthless to even think about it.

all i'm saying to myself now is..what has to happen will happen and i can't change anything anymore..so i will just wait for the decision and accept it for what it is..even if it is negative.

and then pray for an offer from LSE.

Ominous silence is all I've had from Durham, almost as though they're too embarassed to even acknowledge that I've applied there! Only joking, but not joking about the silence; but then I did hear that they sit back and lurk (academically speaking) and make offers when they know whose been chosen by Oxbridge and who hasn't. Well, either way, if I don't see you there or not, I hope you get to a place that you love.

Good luck all. Can't say that enough.

Fingers crossed for tomorrow then! Just wondering, why just art applicants?
as far as the SAQ returning to our original college goes...well from that all i can assume is that our files have been returned to our college as Academix said.

which probably means a much longer wait for the decision...

No I think they make offers when they have all the applications. It's fairer, but loooooong.

I will certainly be praying to the big LSE god in the sky...

Am i right in thinking now that no more interviews can be made? but we might have to wait until the end of interviews before offers are made? Despite what people say id much rather have been pooled than rejected, does really mean your of the quality they're looking for. Best of luck guys, im sure there will be lots of worrying done over the next few days!

Art applicants have their interview tomorrow, science/math applicants have theirs a day or two later, I believe.

That sounds less like a conspiracy and more like something I remember someone telling me now. Wonder why I remembered the conspiracy one eh?

Wish they'd just hurry up and tell me now. There'll be alot of fishes going belly-up in the pool in the next few days/by next week, they could surely slip in one secret email to me putting me out of my misery? Only kidding, I know they can't.

I think it's done alphabetically by subject, as MML ones are Friday.

There are also a few science interviews as well, for instance computer science etc. But I think he means because of all the interviews occuring tomorrow.

That being said, one of my friends has had a letter inviting him to go up. It says that these were sent to people they intend to make an offer to. He's doing English and is an Oxford reject.
