Good luck to those still in the pool; I just managed to escape stress ulcers, and I was fished after a day, so I can't imagine what some of you are going through.

Oh, and I also found myself partway through this, anybody reached stage five yet? :p:

But seriously, colleges are still actively fishing (apparently), maybe I'll see a few of you at Homerton in October?

Hi all

I got pooled by my college and my SAQ was made inactive. It now works again and has gone back to my original college. Does this mean no other college wanted me and so my file has gone back to my original college who will now reject me?

Has any1 elses SAQ changed back to their original college?

Yes! what does it mean>????

I stayed away from this thread for like an hour. :proud:

Can i ask... anyone who's found their status on track to be 'unsucessful', which colleges did you apply to?

I've grown to despise Jesus college because of all this waiting >.<

Amen.
question: does it make any difference if you were pooled by the more traditionally academic colleges e.g Selwyn, Christ's, Emma etc.. as opposed to maybe Girton or Homerton.
just curious :P
I dont know what it means

Has anybody elses SAQ updated and back to their original college? I think its just our file was returned to our original college and they have the last decision - probably a rejection

My Track status was been changed to "Unsuccessful" today. I'm not feeling bad about being rejected actually. I've mostly moved on already (after being pooled) and definitely not going to dwell on it. Just out of interest, is anyone planning on going to Imperial for Biology next year?

Good luck to all those still awaiting replies!

Me  And ***** you have been rejected and your grades were much better than mine (going for same subject). Oh crap.

Just about everybody who's been pooled (and not had an offer) has had their SAQ become available again under their original college. It may mean something, it may not. There's no real way of knowing.

If you want some stats-based hope, last year 1 in 4 people who got pooled received an offer. Now based on this forum, and I know it's not a big enough sample size to get anything definite, nowhere near that many people have had offers/interviews from the pool. So there may well still be some offers to come over the next couple of days.

Just to let you guys know, we decided a little while back that if you do get rejected, then it'll be fun if you posted your prisoner-looking SAQ picture on TSR. You don't have to participate, but it'd be nice (and it'll help relieve some pressure off the other poor miserable souls who are still suffering...). Thanks
On the official Cambridge pooling document:
"If you have not heard from any College by the time the Pool interviews take place, the likelihood is
that your application is not going to be taken further by another College."

What if your college has changed to another college in the SAQ, but it has not yet contacted you?

Well I guess they aren't going to be like "yeah we've taken your file to look at plz remember you may still be rejected from us."

Edit: Do we get definite closure by the 11th at least, as on the official pooling document it says: "5 – 10 January some offers are made to pooled applicants without further interview"

Bloody hell you've got an offer from Warwick and York, it'd be humiliating showing you my SAQ picture!

I'll probably be up for that lol  I don't even think mine's that bad (if I may say so myself)
my SAQ has also returned to its orginal college, again I am fearing rejection. It would be interesting to know if this has happened to everyone, meaning files have been returned or it means a decision has been reached..
Hooray! My Durham application has been sent to the College

Going for a perfect run here - common Cambridge :P

Haha, thanks for the compliment. Nah, trust me, when you see my SAQ picture (of which the chances are getting more and more likely) then you wont feel so bad (I look mentally retarded... oh wait...). If I remember correctly, you have an offer from Warwick too!
Anyway, I'm off to bed. Good luck to all those who have interviews tomorrow, and good luck to those who are still floating (including me! :p: )!
