Would they mail letters to or email international applicants? If they've sent me a letter then I'm in for a very, very long wait...

Some of my (also international) friends have been rejected from Cambridge without an email. It went straight to UCAS. Eventually they got their letters
I would have thought it's far more likely to get an email...
No letter today

Yeah King's seem to be dithering. Either they are still deciding who is in and out or are going to post the letters on Monday.

Good luck, you have better grades than me so if they're still deciding who's in for English then you're far ahead! Hope it turns out well for all of us...

My post hasn't actually arrived yet. On Thursday it didn't come until four PM.

Just got my rejection letter as expected. No hard feelings I suppose I simply didn't get good enough GCSEs etc. good luck to everyone else in the pool!

well, i read about those psychologial reasons in one article by Greer (art historian, writes for Guardian, i think). she has a strong arguement there. But, of course, Cambridge professors would not make judgements based on this article and other resources. ANyway, i'll hope its only enthusiasm and ability that matter. although im not that convinced by that because of experience of my two friends who both got rejected by oxford although one of them is one the best in the country at english and history, is incredibly passionate about his subject and is in fact the most intelligent student ive ever met.

I have a friend in a similar situation - he applied for History and Politics at Oxford. Not only is he very intelligent, funny and a nice bloke, but he also fences for GB and - get this - has started his own political party. Now if that doesn't prove an interest in politics, what does?

to give everyone a bit of hope....my frined rang her college because she could suddenly log back in to her saq but her college had not changed, so she rang Emmanuel and they said to her the saq means nothing but more importantly they said THE CUIDELINE DATES ON THE LETTER ARE NOT NECCESAIRILY RIGHT AND THE POOLS ARE STILL GOING ON AS SOME ADMISSIONS TUTORS STILL HAVEN'T COME BACK FROM HOLIDAY YET!!! i am keeping my fingers crossed that this applies to all colleges!!!! :frown:

i love you

Many people here who were pooled have now received rejection letters. It's hard to say whether this depends entirely on which college you applied to, or whether there's been some filtering of applications (if so, maybe depending on the category you were pooled under?).

hmmmmmmm from offer/rejection/pool thread i read about a few ppl who got accepted at churchill after pool. churchill is the original college that i applied for by the way. it's kinda disheartening when all those ppl who applied for other colleges get a place at the college that i applied for. ㅠ.ㅠ
i think churchill is done making most of the decisions...
I've got my rejection letter from Churchill today (good luck coffee27!). Tbh have been expecting it so not feeling too upset, just putting my hopes now on LSE!
Good luck to those who are still floating!
Not heard anything either today...ah well. Bring on the rejection . Though that's encouraging about Emmanuel...maybe I should be more hopeful. Ah well, at least if I don't get Cambridge I have a generous offer from Durham!
