I got that with my letter, doesn't explain too much, really. :p:

Plus it feels like my college didn't want me. ()

Interview performance is very important. If you've been pooled then they consider you good enough for an offer so you've clearly done well at interview. The interviewers will have made notes on your interview performance which will be seen by those looking for candidates to fish out of the pool (to give an offer to directly or to interview again). So it's not only important for getting into the pool, but also for getting fished out.

Thanks very much  Would you say though, that a good interview performance can compensate for below-avg grades?
I saw the title of the thread and naturally assumed that it was a bitter cry for comfort from a disappointed Stoke City fan...

What's the wording of your letter say? :shifty:

Woah, is that important? I just assumed there was one generic 'pool letter'...no?

I took a look on the Cambridge website and apparently different subjects have pool interviews on particular days (with obvious flexibility). Maths interviews are on Thursday 8th..so I guess if I don't hear anything by the tuesday or wednesday, would I be right in thinking that I'm not expected to get anything.

You are automatically pooled if you have high grades even if your interview performance was poor.

we'll hear about an interview by wednesday. But if we are to get a straight offer can we wait untill the 31st at the latest?

I'm international and have been pooled, and the letter says that they consider internationals without further interview; does this mean i'll find out sometime next week IF i've been give an offer? Can someone bring about some clarity as to when those being offered a place without interview will hear back?

From what I understood, most people who get offers without interviews get them this week. But it's also possible to get offers in 2 weeks or something, it just means that they weren't sure about it yet.

I think I've been auto-pooled. The chances are slim!

Might as well get the disappointment over and done with though. *sob*
i actually don't know why i've been pooled, my ASs were good but my GCSEs were rubbish and my interviews went astonishingly badly. Cool though!!!!! can't believe i might be back being interviewed in just 5 days...
Pooled for Classics from Corpus Christi. Joy! Not looking forward to the prospect of another interview.....
