Well, yes, they have, as the last pooling meeting finished at 17:00 yesterday. Fitzwilliam have already started calling, or atleast that's what i gather from this thread

Those in line for a straight offer or rejection would have had their fates determined today, those being called for interview still hold part of their fate in their hands.

Nah, you can definitely still be called for straight offer/rejection for next few days, I think.

Yeah, sorry, what I meant was that Cambridge have made their decisions on those in line for a straight offer/rejection and now have to tell those lucky/unlucky souls within the next week or so.

Good luck to you too  ; in my case, luck is the only thing that would get me an offer/interview.

Darn British applicants! Atleast you guys will know if you've got an offer/interview this week. Internationals like me have to wait it out in the blind for 2-3 weeks, with no interview possibilities, compounded by the fact taht even if one's fished out, the letter will take weeks to arrive.

That is, of course, unless the prospective fishing college is tech-savvy enough to email.

I think that's the same for all of us. :p:

Christ's. They had the presence of mind to mail international replies out on the 27th, so the letter arrived on the third; But then, i sorta already knew i was going to be either pooled or rejected when i was told during my time at Christ's that there were 27 interviews for 3 places this year, and that some "Very good applicants" [YEAH RIGHT *sarcasm*] couldn't be offered a place at the college

Haha I had that line in my letter as well: "many good applicants have been squeezed out".

On the bright side, it means that Christ's were extremely oversubscribed this year, meaning you have an even higher chance of getting fished out of the pool.

I had that line in my letter as well. Did it say "However, we have sufficient confidence in your abilities and potential to recommend you to teh Inter-Collegiate Winter Pool"?

Did you apply for Christ's too?

Yes! It said that exactly! And here I was thinking they saw something special in me

I applied to St.Catharine's, luckily one of the most oversubscribed for economics, so that ever so slightly increases my chances for getting fished out of the pool.
Wait... an an outsider here, what's the link between oversubscribed colleges and successful pooling??

At first, i thought it had some subliminal connexion with either one of the "Recommendation" categories on p. 3 of this document

But now, i realise that it doesn't; or maybe it still does....

Has anyone received a pooling letter without that phrase?

I highly doubt it does, two of my friends (one who is especially likely to have been pooled under P) have that line, as I'm sure countless other pooled applicants have.

Yup, i now realise.. I was just inclined to think otherwise before as i couldn't have been pooled under P as i am an IB student and have no external grades/haven't taken GCSEs
