Yeah, I don't think I want to go for another interview. I don't think I did that badly at interview though, so I'm hoping I won't have to? :dontknow:

This is the thing. Presumably the admissions tutors may write on their pooling criteria that I did well in interview. If this is the case, perhaps I will not need another interview? Would I have been pooled, if I did not do well at interview? I felt the first one went well, the second average. Maybe it was the last interview that let my application down.

interviews didnt go too well, so i guess i should have expected this or worse
can't see any offer being made without another interview (especially for med)

The best i can hope for is another interview somewhere else, based on the fact that i might have had a bad day going into my original interviews :P

I got pooled too. My GCSEs were rubbish so I'm definitely not in P. Why couldn't they just reject me straight out! :mad:

Out of interest how did you go about writing you PS for philosophy and european social and political science?

Oh my god, the BEST guy from our school has been pooled for History at Caius. He got about 12 A*s at GCSE and about 95% average at AS :eek:

Yep, it's the pool for me too! The last thing I wanted was an extended wait on my verdict though...and right in the middle of A2s grrrr.

How many of you are in the 'auto-pool' category? I only got 5A* and one 90%+ at AS so I don't know what the hell I'm doing here :biggrin:

No, I can't be as I did not get more than 7A*'s. Our state school has barely ever had anyone with more than 5A*'s let alone 7, lol.

Christ, and on the offers thread people are getting offers where they need over 90% in A2s which I was told would never happen.

Same though Ozzbozz. 2A*s at GCSE and ABB at AS + an A at A2 so far, I have no idea how I got in.

Well I'm not autopooled...you know both miriams, suraj and lottie who left are all pooled? outrageous. There are only 2 offers I've heard of so far.

yeah its real... but its widely considered the worst category to be pooled for. It means they pooled someone not necessarily because they were a strong candidate, but just for politics' sake.

Just wrote a philosophy PS with some stuff about wanting to learn foreign languages and being interested in different cultures and their relevance to philosophy really, cause you pick a humanities specialism (i.e. philosophy!) so I thought that would be okay (although I was sure I'd get rejected haha) :o:
