Interesting. Does this mean for anyone who it says 'Your application is no longer active', it's safe to assume rejection?

Is there anyone who has received an offer, but also gets 'Your application is no longer active' when they try to sign in?

Nonono...it's just a lot of speculation. But it IS quite likely that if you can't log in, then you have been pooled, as that seems to be the trend. Usually people who get offers seem to be able to log in. Don't assume rejection
1000!
Yer i suppose, sorry guys just trying to be realistic!

my saq says new hall now. i couldn't access it earlier. i wonder what it means...

ring new hall admission office now plz!! mine displayed girton! i wonder if i got an offer from them or a reinterview- -
NesQuiK.
Does the pool file have like some sort of ranking at the front though, like interview score/pool category/college comments or something so that admissions tutors can quickly see who the best pool applicants are, or do they go through all of them?

There is a short hand scoring system to do with interview, exam, test etc performance, but I don't recall that they were ranked in any way. The pool is the point at which a type of ranking between applicants happens. Prior to that any ranking has just been done within the population of subject candidates applying to a single college, so for example to put on a file Magdelene's 6th ranked Medic would be pretty meaningless. The whole point of the pool is to find out if this person is the next best medic available to Cambridge or the 101st best when there are only 100 places (made up numbers!!!). I believe this is done by 'browsing' files.

There was a very detailed explanation of the pooling process put up last year, if anyone cares to search.

havent heard anything, my saq just says magdalene so i assume they are considering me (mebbe not offering but theyve jus taken my file to look at ...at least that';s the only explanation i can have for my saq college changing).

on saturday i couldn't access it - it said inactive. now i can.

I'm pooled by Newnham!! Arrrghhh.. Why?!??!!? Another long wait. Fuh. I'll just take it as a rejection for now. Heeheehee. I don't see many pooled medics around >.<. Where can I find the exact number?

For those who are in the same predicament, let's just enjoy swimming with the fishes for now.

we don;t know if it actually means anything. we're just guessing lol. But if the college has changed on ur saq...that can only be exlpained by them potentially considering u from the pool

It doesn't appear to mean anything other than you've been pooled so far... Though some people are regaining access to the SAQ. Who knows what's going on really...

What is SAQ?
Reply 998
Hey, does anyone know whether at a second interview after pooling the new college is likely to use the essays etc you submitted to the first one?

I need to find them if that's the case!

I applied for Trinity and couldn't access my SAQ for a while. Now it says Peterhouse (and from the looks of it his is happening to a number of people . I wonder what it says for those poolants who've already got offers...then I might be able to justify my premature jubilating!!!
