The "I've been pooled" thread

I have a fun position.

Been pooled by Jesus for Modern and Medieval Langs.

Haven't got my letter yet btw, I found out because Fitzwilliam sent me an E-Mail today saying:

You already know that you have been entered for the Winter Pool
I didn't, but I do now, thanks!
We are impressed by your application and wish to invite you for interview.
Ok, that's nice of you...
But all our spaces for 2009 are taken, so this would mean if you are given an offer it will be for 2010 deferred entry.
Riiiight...wasn't planning on doing that.

So what do I do? I'm almost certainly going to go down for the interview but...I'm not sure I wanna take a Gap Year.

oh i had one at christs- basically had to read a fat photocopy (they said read as much as you can and make notes to help you in the interview) from a book about the french revolution and then discuss it. don't worry though its not too bad becuase from my experience they really guided the conversation and pushed you for the answers they were looking for, so your not left there babbling.

Are there any subjects that noone has heard anything about yet? (either interviews or offers)
