I came into school today and my teacher came up to me and said "blah blah well done for at least being pooled blah blah fingers crossed" and also "You did well in your interview". Now I'm wondering if this was just an assumption, or Cambridge somehow communicated a reason for pooling to him?
I heard that your school can get feedback about your initial interview....
I told my maths teacher that I got pooled from Trinity....she replied that Trinity is nearly always oversubscribed for maths and that she is "sure I'll get an offer".... seriously, its hard enough without her being overly confident in me.
By the way, I might be naive and this has probably been answered somewhere in these 1199 posts but how does pooling work?
Do they? 1. Have a set number of places for each course, and go round finding applicants to fill those places? 2. Have a set number of places for any course, and just find the best candidates irrelevant of the course?
