Do you reckon Arch and Anth offers will be given out early or late? Complete speculation, would they deal with the bigger subjects first perhaps?

Well a tiny number of law offers have been given on TSR so far, so that's not necessarily the case, as it's a big subject. They could be doing it in any order...

Who? Flozza? Her grades are pretty amazing.

Thanks Academix and everyone else for congratulations and such and good luck with it all...hang in there! I'm going to go back to my work now. Ciao.
Thanks for the replies, all those who replied  - basically i shouldn't worry about it then, to sum up - and nor should my parents! - and yes, we DO have an answering machine ;-)

Good luck to everyone in the pool - though hopefully, for my sake, you won't all get places because then I won't have room to join you!!

Does anyone think that this is the end for offers yet, or that they will really go on into tomorrow and even Wednesday? When do you think you will really start to lose hope? I think if there is no news tomorrow either then my chances have significantly dwindled. people were being given offers on Saturday evening after all!

As I've said numerous times; the 10th is the cutoff point for further interviews, at least according to my letter.

This, as far as I can assume of course, does not mean you have been outright rejected by all other colleges, as you may be on their list, but they want to see how the other applicant performs at interview before offering you, or them a place.

There is also the chance your original college will take you back, too.

I reckon people with grades like yours don't have too much to worry about tbh. I just think that, if you don't have +5A* at GCSE and have still been pooled after a good interview there isn't much chance for you (like me I think lol).

Why are you assuming GCSE's are more important than AS levels?

Are you sure that's possible. Has anyone with an offer from their preferred college had the following message: "The strong competition this year has unfortunately resulted in many good candidates being squeezed out". They also say in the opening sentence: "I am sorry to tell you that we have not been able to make you an offer at Pembroke College at this stage". So am i not totally ruled out?

I'm not an admissions tutor, how am I supposed to know? The letter is probably generic, anyway.

Sit tight, if you haven't heard by September, I think it's fairly safe to assume you got rejected.

Southern Freerider got an offer from Girton (his choice college) after being pooled :yep: . Don't know what his letter said though.

I'm not, I think AS levels are obviously more important than GCSEs, but to make it to this stage the majority of people still afloat in the pool will most likely have 3/4 As with at least one or two at 90+ % anyway.

Or you could say that you've been pooled despite those grades. You could have a really good interview score (which you seem to think you have), and they didn't want to take the risk of you offering a place because of your GCSEs. It could be a good thing.

Assuming I am still afloat, then I would be in the minority. :p:
