No, I even checked earlier on today and I couldn't until about an hour ago...

Thanks  Don't worry, I haven't actually heard anything from them yet! And until it changed I'd pretty much taken it as a rejection, now I feel there may still be a glimmer of hope (?)

What languages did you apply for?

French and Russian ab initio, you? Russian may have been a mistake, I should have gone for Spanish perhaps.

That glimmer of hope is so tiny, and yet there are countless numbers of us trying to hold on to it. Dam that's poetic.

anyone doing MML pooled from sidney sussex heard anything? Or any MML students?

Good luck everyone!!

Some MML people have I think, earlier in the thread. 2 or 3 perhaps.

Which languages are you applying for?
Yeah, good luck everyone!
Reading this thread has just made me more depressed lol. Congrats to those who's got offers and good luck to those with interviews.

Adding myself to the MML poolees...French and Spanish. Pooled by Queens'.

Edit: haha brokenheartbeats, nice timing!

is there anyway of finding out the number of people pooled for a specific subject?

I have an interview at Murray Edwards on Thursday, but despite being told about it last night I still can't access my SAQ. Does anyone know what this could mean? Is there a possibility that other colleges are considering my application?

What time is your interview? I might see you there!

I'm going for French and Spanish ab initio, good thing you didn't go for Spanish too or we would have been competing directly against each other!

I'm not entirely sure whether they differentiate between different languages, or whether they just see us as MML applicants (not French and Spanish applicants e.g.).

Hi someone asked me what subjects I'm doing...well I can't find the post to quote but I'm doing Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths and all on to A2.

No, there isn't. The stats on the Cambridge website - links distributed liberally throughout this thread  - only show how many offers were made via the pool, not how many were pooled in the first place.

I think it's around two thirty... How about yours?

Did you get the timetable? Some English people have interviews at Downing!

I know, it's not fair :frown:, I'm still not sure about Murray Edwards, but feeling a bit more positive. Mine are in the morning, at about 10 I think, because I'm staying overnight.

I'm feeling the same way... Are you E P?

It looks like we have about a fifty percent chance or higher of getting in though. Last year they took seven from the pool, and they're only interviewing twelve of us! Where are you coming from?
Oh, duh! Your name's Katie! Of course you're not E.P!

Come on Pembroke: adopt that practice!

Oh hooow I would love that

The wording of my letter didn't give much hope for that though :frown:

Yeah, I hope so! No, I'm KH. I'm coming from near Middlesbrough, I'm guessing you live nearer as the afternoon people aren't staying over? Are you AR or SH?

Haha! I've only just seen that, yeah, obviously not EP, although I didn't make the connection myself!

Hello all, looks like I've been added to the winter pool as well. I am out of the country at the moment and wasn't able to actually read my letter, but it seems international applicants won't be interviewed again. Is this true? Should I ring the college I applied to and ask about if there's anything I need to do? How do I go about finding out which college I've been pooled to? :/

Cheers and good luck everyone  .

p.s: Does anyone know if mature applicants get pooled to the mature colleges only?
piiineapple
i hope this isn't it :frown:

Woo yeah...another philosophy applicant yet to be fished. Join the club. Lets keep hoping for tomorrow. Good luck.

Hello  AFAIK yes you don't get reinterviewed as an international. If (and AFAIK only if) you have been accepted by another college you can log into your SAQ and see the college name on there, whereas other poolees can't log in at all, but this is one of those TSR theories with some evidence. Good luck

(I offended the Admissions Gods and thus have not got my decision despite emails)
