The "I've been pooled" thread

I'm going for French and Spanish ab initio, good thing you didn't go for Spanish too or we would have been competing directly against each other!

Hello all, looks like I've been added to the winter pool as well. I am out of the country at the moment and wasn't able to actually read my letter, but it seems international applicants won't be interviewed again. Is this true? Should I ring the college I applied to and ask about if there's anything I need to do? How do I go about finding out which college I've been pooled to? :/

Hello AFAIK yes you don't get reinterviewed as an international. If (and AFAIK only if) you have been accepted by another college you can log into your SAQ and see the college name on there, whereas other poolees can't log in at all, but this is one of those TSR theories with some evidence. Well, I can't log into SAQ, so I take that as a bad sign :P . Oh well, we'll see what happens tomorrow. I think I'll ring up the college and ask.

Ack, should clarify People who got straight offers w/o interview can log into SAQ, most (won't say all ) poolees can't, but that doesn't mean nobody's taken your file to look at Good luck for tomorrow + hope you had a fun vacation (:

International applicants aren't reinterviewed - it's not really practical in the time available! You don't need to do anything at the moment except keep an eye on your email/listen out for the phone.

PS: Mature applicants can be pooled anywhere.

Cheers! That makes me feel a tad better ;p. Thanks, I reckon I'll be needing it. Hope you are well. As for the vacation, it isn't over yet! Getting an offer would be the icing on the cake for what has been a great break so far ;p.

None of the four people who've been pooled for SPS have reported back yet. 9 people have been pooled by Trinity - none of them for SPS.

I was pooled for SPS and have since been fished out and offered a place in my original college.

Some of us on here will get offers/interviews today.
