The "I've been pooled" thread

I have been pooled from Robinson - it appears that the pool has been particulary favoured this year as half a dozen candidates from my school have found themselves in this similar position, so perhaps it is being used tactically by the colleges. Also, to those who have given up hope, last year we had a candidate fished out of the pool in February despite it saying most will have heard by the end of January...Sit tight and I wish everyone the best of luck!!

Also, by saying the pool is closed it does not necessarily mean files can be no longer accessed but that no persons can be additionally added to the pool.

hi, i got pooled for economics from sidney sussex and was just wondering whether anyone had heard anything yet from any college?

i'm not v hopeful seeing as how competitive economics is and i doubt that many economics applicants get accepted through the pool seeing as each college has so many applicants for it in the first place.

I got pooled from St John's for MML and just checked my SAQ - I can log in again, and my college has been changed to Churchill!! I'm trying not to read too much into it, but after reading this thread that's tricky... what do other people think?

If your college has changed, doesn't that just mean your file has been fished out by this college to look at (instead of acceptance by college)? But it would be terribly cruel if given this tiny glimmer of hope we get rejected anyway :p:

Particularly since I was so at peace with being rejected before I saw it - I was looking up Warwick accommodation and everything! Now i'm all topsy-turvy again... PLUS, i let slip to ONE of my friends the SAQ thing, then she told everyone, who are now all adamant i've got in - making it so much worse :hmpf:

Hahaha, I told a few people and made it VERY clear that it did NOT at all mean an offer. Yeah, before that change of college I was dreaming about Durham. I just need to get this whole Cambridge business out of the waayy
