The "I've been pooled" thread

We still haven't seen a lot of law offers or vet offers.

What's going on!
Any other subjects we haven't seen much of? We;ve seen lots of MML

ok this is going to sound really depressing but think about how competitive law and vet med are; i.e there aren't going to be very many places because so many of the places have already been filled up so im guessing fewer get put in the pool. is that a valid suggestion??

That could be the case. Last year 40 people were fished from the pool from law I know.

Was pooled for Engineering, now been rung up by Trinity and Magdalene for more interviews :biggrin:

. Surely those colleges hardly ever take pooled people? Originally applied for Corpus.

How many people do you think i will be up again at each college?

Well done. I've also been pooled to Magdalene for more interviews. Got my call yesterday at school, it was so exciting. I don't think they'll be too many at Magdalene, hopefully not anyway. I looked at their stats and they only took 14 from the pool last year in total for all courses.

Uh, the SPS pool this year is so weird... Other than the one person here who got fished out back by his original college (Girton), i haven't heard of a single candidate being fished out - here or elsewhere....

does anyone else think that the SPS pool is screwed up this year?

For all these subjects we're not seeing much action from I'm just thinking (HOPING) that they're just taking their time and the bulk of their offers will come in later.

I know nowhere near everyone in the pool goes on TSR, but I suspect that we have a good enough cross section of the pool to have a decent enough idea of the spread of the offers and interviews.

Oh I'm just trying to make myself feel hopeful.

What do you think?
