The cake is for Helenia, the chocolate is for me!

Lots of people promised me drink/chocolate last year, but when I went to a meet this term I didn't get a single one :bawling:

I do understand though. When I was swimming in the pool my nan called me in the middle of the day while I was at school with a withheld number. I ran out the room to answer it, and she just wanted to know if they had called yet. Bless her.

Pooled as well, for economics. Anyone know what our chances are at this stage? Read the statistics from the Cambridge winter pool, and they were slightly encouraging, but seeing how it's quite late now in the winter pool, was just wondering if there is any reasonable hope.
I have no idea. I'm a third year but had a gap year due to illness, maybe thats it?

I've been pooled for SPS but 2010 entry (Hughes - Mature student)


Same here (almost). Wolfson called this morning to offer me an interview on Monday for 2010 entry. I'll be going but I'm not sure if I'll accept a place at Wolfson even if they make me an offer. I'd rather re-apply for a college I like :dontknow:

Also I am willing to hitchhike to Cambridge if they give me an offer for interview even if it means I am risking murder and who knows what else (hopefully I will be able to avoid murder - I would like to be able to accept an offer if I get one :biggrin: )

Today when I told my history teachers they both adopted a tone that made me think someone had died i.e my chances! I had been quite hopeful but without meaning to they just dashed all my hopes.
I didn't get fished. I was diagnosed with my illness during the pool and found out I wouldn't be able to go that year so I contacted my College and withdrew. I applied the following year and got an unconditional offer.

Have you been to Wolfson? I really like it. My friend went there and they always seemed to be having parties!
