A loud/strong heartbeat

Is it normal to have a really strong/loud heartbeat as when I was away my girlfriend commented on the loudness of it.

Better than a weak timid one which comes and goes.

I am just worried in case it means I have really high lood pressure or something like that.

It's probably louder near your girlfriend because a) she'll be cuddling in, and b) naturally, your pulse goes a bit funny when you're in close proximity to a lurver.

The fact that she can hear it even when she does not have her head against my chest and is still quite loud even then.
