past present and future are included, ie. if u already had further , which did u chose, and if u will sit in june 2005 what did u chose. i know that june 2005 is the last session for M6, but lets assume that it's still available.

I chose not to do M6 - but I am doing M5. Simply because there are easier modules to do than M6...I don't have a particular love for mechanics either.

well good point, but for me i took p4-6 m4-6 only coz i took p4-6 m4 m5 , so i wouldnt take s1 so as to have 6 modules, coz having P4 P5 P6 M4 M5 S1 doesnt sound that good :P i know it sounds stupid or sth, but what i mean is that i reached M5, why not to reach M6? so i'm sitting for them in june! and i hope that i wont find any difficulties!!!

ahh I had to read that 3 times before I understood that
I do know what you mean - why not give M6 a shot! I had the same attitude with stats - I'd reached S5, so decided to S6 only to find out from the exams office that my exam board no longer runs it!!
If you enjoy mechanics you certainly might as well do it-come June you might be  at the thought of M5 and 6
If you're doing maths at uni next year, no doubt you'll go through it all again, so you won't be missing out if you don't do it!

If you decide to do M5+M6 instead of the simple D1+D2 then you must be very confident.

well i'm sorry if i didnt say a good sentence, but it's about 12 am here ,and i need some sleep, so i just cant make up sentences, anyway, i'm going to take electrical engineering, so no doubts i will have to go through it all again, but it's that i took p1-3 m1-3 at skool, and i have to study p4-6 m4-6 alone, but i also have chemistry A2 and physics A2 to study too, which makes me have alot of things to study!!! and i dont like studying! that's y i like maths, coz when u understand it u dont need to go through it again, so that's why i'm hoping that i wont find any diffictulties!
wow, although i need some sleep, i talked that much, imagine that i was fully awake! i would had spoken like for ever :P

well actually i dont even know what D1 and D2 are :P besides i started mechanics ( 1-3 ) so i liked it! so i continued!

I fail to see how anyone can find D1 more difficult than M6.

Hmm. I personally enjoy mechanics more than decision mathematics but as i'm doing so much in one year and have a part time job i opted for the easier and safer D1+D2 rather than M4+. I may learn M4 after my exams though, to keep my brain sharp.

good point too!!!
I'd personally rather do as much pure as possible, so in my school this means only doing 3 mechanics modules. Though if I had the chance to do more mechanics and less stats I probably would.

well what i meant was in addition to pure, u will have to have 6 modules what will they be ( in addition to pure )

If I could do any without restrictions from my school, then yeah, I'd probably do M1-5 and D1 (probably to help bring up my marks, though I genrally prefer mechanics to discrete). As it is, we have to do P1-5, M1-2, S1-2, D1, and two out of M3, M4, S3 and P6 and as I want to do P6 I can only do 3 mech. modules.

Ism't P6 complaory if you want full further? I thought you had to have 3 pure and three applied for the A-level

no only P4 + P5 are + 4 other modules which are : at least 3 applied, and at least 3 A2 modules
