Msc European Political Economy - LSE

Hi,

Just got a conditional for the course mentioned in the title.
Anyone else got accepted?

Does anyone know how competative this course is(I guess its not LSE's most competative course)?

I would also appreciate if anyone have som experience with this course, and could give a Norwegian some input on what this course really is all about, what kind of jobs that you would be suited for, and what kind of reputation this course has?

Best Regards

According to the graduate prospectus, the 2007 intake/application ration was 65/267, i.e. about a 25% acceptance rate. I don't know if that is competitive enough for you?

Hi,

Got the "your application has been downloaded"-mail 15. Nov, and the "Documentation complete"-mail 28. Nov.
Got my conditional offer 6. January. So, pretty fast, I think.

You also applying?

YES!
I'm going to quote this statistic when people say I'm not doing a 'real' LSE course :p:

who would say that? What makes a course a "real" LSE course and "non-real" - it's a degree program....

FlyingIsis: Is that your impression of this course? Are you applying?
Do you guys think that this is the general impression of this course?

Yes I've got an offer - not sure that I'll be taking the place as yet though.
No I don't see the course that way at all - it's just that my other friends at LSE are doing either law or hardcore science rubbish so they mock me :p: It is in fact, a brilliant course, at an excellent institution and we all deserve a pat on the back

Hehe. Don't wanna spend all my money on a mickey-mouse degree. Not that I'm very concerned, the European studies at LSE ranks top in UK.
Come on, take the place, it'll be fun!

What other options are you considering?

Hey guys, also got the offer and for sure I will accept it.
Have few questions though:
Where can I find the module booklet that includes the reading list?
When does the program start (i think it starts on the 30th of Sep. but not sure)

I'm just wondering if this masters is either to pass?

Seems like if its all essay based, it's going to be hard if you're not a natural essay writer?

.................................

Why every year there are some idiots quoting such rubbish :s-smilie::s-smilie:

Let me say it once again... that ratio is the ratio between actual number of enrollment or the total number of students and the number of application....

LSE gives out a lot more offers and apart from some courses in the finance, law, international relation and economics departments, the vast majoirty of LSE postgraduate courses accept low - medium 2:1... some courses even accept 2:2...
