and so what? I started seriously dating at 17 and I know some people who have been single since senior year high school and they've graduated college now. There's plenty of time to find a boyfriend - and you'll never find one if you look. Just enjoy high school while it lasts.

Wouldn't worry about it, plenty of people in very similar positions .

Im sure there are lots of people in your position, some people dont have a relationship in uni. Its totally normal. You have so much time to find the perfect person for you, just wait for someone to come along as they will in time  there is not point rushing these things.

18 and i havent had a girlfriend for 48 hours

Reply 5

Try 18 and never had a boyfriend! :frown:

im in exactly the same boat as you, but im not really bothered. right now, there are other things to be worried about, and as long as you have good friends, its not like you're lonely. and anyway, im sticking to the principle that you won't find anyone till you least expect it.

is it really that big an issue?

Will it really change anything?

Reply 8

overrated anyways

16 is young

I'm not in high school, I'm in 6form and will be 17 next month.

Now I doubt I'll find anyone in uni. :frown:

If you keep worrying about such things now, you won't get into uni.

You're not alone, you're not some sort of weirdo because of it, you just haven't found anything yet.

16 is not the age to start worrying.

Considering the average teenage relationship lasts around a year, resulting in heart break and further insecurities, you shouldn't be rushing into something. If your frustrated at having never had a relationship, then you aren't ready for one. You need to mature first.

I'm 16, never had a boyfriend and I'm getting a little annoyed. I have had a love interest, but that was all the way back in year nine (2006) and now I'm in year 12. I just don't understand why it seems EVERYONE else has a boyfriend but me. It didn't bother me in high school as I thought I'd find a boyfriend in 6form, which I haven't. Now I doubt I'll find anyone in uni. :frown:

Haha, I thought exactly the same thing at your age. What a bunch of douchebags they turned out to be, I'm glad I didn't bother wasting my time on them. I didn't hook up with anyone til I was 18 going on 19. Stop preoccupying yourself with "the hunt" and how you MUST be in a relationship, enjoy your life and something will come along when you least expect it.

I'm 19, at University and I have never been in a serious relationship. Its not so bad, just keep positive.
People always find the right person when they least expect it. A watched kettle never boils and all that!

Reply 15

16? come back when your 25.

Reply 16

Fifteen. Not had a proper boyfriend.
And frankly I couldn't care less.
It sometimes sucks when my friend's are doing couple things but they normally let me tag along anyway!

Reply 17

I'm a year older than you and in the same position

There are soooooo many threads on TSR like this!! Seriously, you're 16. You have your whole life ahead of you!! Just concentrate on yourself, self improvement, making new friends through new clubs/societies. You will soon meet people. Jeez I don't understand why people get so wound up about hitting 16 and having no boyfriend!

I've never been in a proper relationship and I'm 17. I don't really see anything wrong with that  What's the rush to get into a relationship anyway? Why not just enjoy being free?

You're only 16, there are plently in my year (upper 16) who haven't even been kissed let alone had a boyfriend or w/e, don't worry about it.
