yep...labour is definitely no longer left wing. but i still believe i should vote because by not voting....im not making a difference. there is still a left section of labour...which is closely associated with trade unions...so theres hope...still if labour were left wing...theres no way thered be voted in...people have a fear of lefties!
IMO there should be a section on the voting slip where you can place a "vote of no-confidence" in the current political parties of the nation. The only reason that this will never happen is because it would reveal a gross lack of faith in all of the current parties from a great proportion of the population.

I lost all my faith in Labour around the time when they decided to recycle some old Tory manifesto's to produce thier own and repackaged themselves a "New Labour". I often feel that they should replace the "New" with "Conservative", it would be much clearer for the general public!!!

yes i agree and if there was a vote of no confidence id probably cross that! it would also allow us to see how members of the public are really disillusioned from the spin of politics!

who would you vote for in the next election and why ?

Well that's a good and interesting question. Finally some decent discussion on here instead of agony aunt topics. Well, I know I won't be popular for saying this but for me it will have to be the BNP. They are not what people think they are they have alot of great ideas (especially on the Asylum issue). But they won't get elected anyway unfortunately. Still, ideally thats who I would like to win and become elected. I will probably be voting BNP in the next G.E.

It's a different kind of "nationalisation" that communists believe in. They would be for a type that pays for itself and produces not addition revenue for the owners (i.e. the government). Also in a communist regime there would be no rich to pay higher taxes because they would not exist (in theory)!!!

Communism is based on Marxist ideology. The communists believe the working class should sieze power and control the state for the benefit of socoety as a whole. The class system is abolished under communism and everyone is equal. There is no private property and no capitalism. In other words people cannot get rich and powerful, everyone is the same and works towards the benefit of society and the communist state. Communism is a fairly nice idea on paper but not practice. Think Soviet Russia, that was a communist state.

If you want a more influential party (not by much but they definitely are) then try socialism!!!
