Depends which course, different departments make batches of offers and rejections at varying times, generally on fridays though. Economics takes notoriously long due to the number of applicants

I am concerned with my subject combination(no AS eco).
Does any one know how many offers the LSE gave last year?

Everyone says that, but it's not true, as some people have offers...so really, it should be if you have an offer then good news, if you get rejected then bad news, if you haven't heard yet it's not necessarily good or bad news - which is just saying something pointless really...

Hmm.

All that matters is that you're still in the game. So for that reason, I say it's good news.

I wouldn't say good news though, I'd say neutral news. At this stage, offer = good news, rejection = bad news, no news = neutral news, and then also, debatably, gathered pile = neutral news too.

Fair enough. Not sure why we're arguing about this though :p:

Yeah, neither am I, I think I was just randomly looking for an argument as people do on TSR, as it turns out, you boringly conceded, thus, I will grant you with: offer = excellent news, rejection = bad news, no news = good news and gathered pile = neutral news :p:

hey guys just wanted to know when
LSE tend to reply
coz my mate has applied 2 months ago
and still nothing
is that good or bad :s-smilie:

Offers come in waves: the first batch of offers usually comes in around Christmas time, while the last batches can stretch deep into Easter, or even later.

Tell him to sit tight.
My application was sent through on the 31st October, and I've not heard back from LSE yet, I know I just have to be patient and wait, but I applied for HR and Employment Relations and I didn't think as many people applied for that course, and I never got a reply from LSE to even say that they received my application. Should I call to find out?

Apparently there are no offers yet for Sociology, but you only applied 1 month ago! LSE states somewhere on their website that it usually takes at least 3 months or so. I've been waiting for 3 months and I still haven't heard from them

I applied in mid October, so lol....
I waited in excess of 6months for my Eco offer so if you haven't heard anything at this stage I wouldn't worry too much.

I sent off my Economics application to LSE on the 12th October or so...no answer yet, other than the confirmation mail
I got 2 days later. I'm just wondering whether they'll let me know soon-ish, cause it's a pain
logging onto my mail account every night, getting all hyped up about it...
