Vomiting

Over the last few weeks I've been revising like hell, staying up late and unfortunatley missing meals (I know). Yesterday I felt quite sick, so decided to eat something thinking it was hunger pain. I felt ok for a short time afterwards but then starting feeling sick again; by the early hours of the morning I was throwing up eveywhere :frown: I've been drinking water all day, but still have that throwing up feeling in my stomach. I'm not even one of the throwing up types If you know what I mean, like I haven't thrown up since I was in primary school until last night so I'm not very familar with what to do.

Could it be a bug or stress related? Or should I just wait for it to pass?

Help:frown:

Maybe your body's just getting used to the inconsistent meal times?

Sounds like stress. Go see a doctor if it carries on.

Have you seen the weather outside? The climate being as it is, will create many-a-bug!! There are thousands of people off work because they're ill :frown:

Plus: You've only felt ill since yesterday, right? So it could well be a bug!

if it lasts for more than 2 or 3 days, get yourself to a doctor.

my house mate had the same problem, but to make it worse he had to miss two exams of his final year of degree because of it. he's now looking at one jam packed spring semester

If it's only been going on for a little while it might be a bug, but if it goes on it might be stress. When i got myself in a big panic about exams and getting good grades etc etc i went through a phase of being sick a lot, at first after i ate and then just generally every morning. I went to my GP and she gave me some anti sickness and anti anxiety drugs. I found they weren't the best though as i got lots of side effects, but found some of the herbal remedies quite good (think Kalms etc). So if you think it might be stress and you don't generally feel unwell it might be worth a try!
Also try not to get so worked up about revision and exams, don't work yourself into the ground it's not worth it, you can only do your best, and i'm sure you will be fine! Good luck

I really hope its not stress related, because I really need to work hard this year. Its just that i was so disappointed last year I promised myself i would never make myself feel like that again. Feels so awful and what a time to come:frown:

Your hard work won't go far without looking after yourself though.

To do well you need to get everything in the right balance, if you get enough sleep and regular meals then it'll give you the energy to work hard. Sure you can push it for a bit and you'll cope but if you're looking at the long term then go easy on yourself for a day or two and get into a routine, much better route to success
