.....are you trying to be subtle there? :shifty:

:woo:

ararararargh I don't like this babysitting. It's not my normal people, and I feel paranoid about using their internet. I also let their kids stay up till 10 because when I got here the parents had already left  so there was no-one to tell me when they should go to bed so I played the gullible fool and agreed when they innocently protested that it was '10pm on schoolnights, honest!'
You should have seen the gleeful looks on their little faces

That's cool  What's the band/singer?

the guy's called burial. he was a kind of shady underground dubstep musician who hit it big with a mercury nomination. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burial_(musician) Archangel is the best track on the album. if you want good music for free then sign up in warez-bb, google it, it's incredible.

the 'this is england' soundtrack is really good as well - http://rapidshare.com/files/29888278/VA-This_Is_England__OST_-2007-uF.rar
Prince-Myshkin
Radiohead (OK Computer/In Rainbows), Joy Division (Unknown Pleasures), The Strokes (Room on Fire), The Smiths (The Queen is dead/ Meat is Murder) or Bloc Party (Silent Alarm only)

Ooo, controversial Myshkin! The Smiths' eponymous debut album is UNDOUBTEDLY the greatest. And Bloc Party's latest is pretty good. Heck, even A Weekend in the City wasn't as bad as everyone made out.

Epic fail FV. their new album is awful. Silent Alarm however is superb and WITC has its moments.

oh yeah, as rub said, Battles is essential - http://rapidshare.com/files/61787277/Battles.zip

Maybe if you didn't download such copious amounts of pornograhpy...

oh indeed. I simply can't do without it :frown: woe is me!
Naaah I'm just deleting my facebook and emails out of their history because I don't want them to see it. They're friends of my parents and these people TALK and I'd rather they didn't know exactly what was going on every moment of my life and read my pathetically gossipy emails. Whereas I trust the lovely other family I babysit for. /paranoia
incidentally, the other family also pay me about twice as much, and live within walking distance, removing the need for me to drive at ridiculous times in the morning/very very late night. I'm too broke right now for my own good :frown: Ordinarily it's a case of GET THE YOUNGER SIBLING TO DO IT! She's 16, but I get auto-priority on babysitting :p:
Frankly Vulgar
It's quite obvious now that Celia and I are the kind of pretentious, androgynous hipsters that wander around Whitechapel all day in skinny jeans and too much eye make-up, smoking French cigarettes and reading Sartre on gastro-pub terraces.

I want you.

...I never said that. :ninja:
Seriously, Dans Le Sac v. Scroobius Pip. Apart from some northern soul (odd combo I know), it's been pretty much the only thing I've listened to in the past couple of days.
I think this is turning into English Applicants 2009 Flirt Chat
monkey swallows the universe, hefner/darren hayman, the mountain goats, the lucksmiths... all amazing.

i really want to see the thermals in london next month but it probably won't happen :frown:. also revision is killing me.

That and she would consume their young

 do you know my sister? :p:
She's a *****. The youngest one is lovely - she's 12 and like a little me  but the 16-year-old...God she's such a stereotypical moody teenager and she doesn't work at school and still says she wants to be a doctor and she's surly and tomboyish and still plays computer games on miniclip despite being a 16-year old GIRL. arrrggghhh.

Person Pitch is better than anything Animal Collective have done. Is it just me or should that be recognised as fact. I bought (yes bought) AC's new album today. Sounds great on first listen. I assume you've heard it?

Bonnie "Prince" Billy/ Serafina Steer/ Burial/ 70's David Bowie/ Mum/ Datblygu/ TV On The Radio

I can't remember if you said you liked the Knife or not... Swedish connection:cool:

But if you did, Royskopp (Eple), and Chemical Brothers (Saturate) are both along similarly good lines.

Otherwise I'd say any of these artists, in brackets is my favourite album

Radiohead (OK Computer/In Rainbows), Joy Division (Unknown Pleasures), The Strokes (Room on Fire), The Smiths (The Queen is dead/ Meat is Murder) or Bloc Party (Silent Alarm only)

WHA?! It's tripe! Trippppe!!! Have you heard Kid A?

I agree with you on Room on Fire though. It's good.
i never understood the animal collective/panda bear thing at all. like, i listened to them... but just didn't like it/remember it at all. possibly should just try them again, but meh.

Yeah. Try Sung Tongs if you do. It's probably AC's most accessable album. I'll rapidshare it for you tomorrow if you JUST.CAN'T.W8.

Generally though, all of their albums are too long and have a few duds APART from Panda Bear's Person Pitch, which is heaven.

I can't find the right U for Mum, but yaaaay another Mum fan. I was listening to Yesterday Was Dramatic, Today is OK whilst revising in the workroom a few days ago and it was a little loud. My friends looked dismayed.

McLusky/ Future of the Left anyone?

EDIT: Oh and In The Aeroplane Over the Sea by Neutral Milk Hotel is like so totally amZinN.
