Hello, I just registered here and before anyone says anything: Yes I have read the last 16 or so pages.
As for movie updates, I only know what has already been said here before
I agree. After seeing the first movie my friend practically had to drag me into the movie theater to see the other two. (Sorry HP fans)
Since we have no sign of life coming from the producers, I hope that means they are taking there sweet time so they don't screw anything up. I think the last thing we want is to see the person who plays Arty have blonde hair, small vocabulary, and turned into another hollywood pretty boy. -.-;

I think they'll mess the movie up. I don't care what they say, it will be completely different from the book. Has anyone here seen a single movie that's exactly like the book? Anyone? And on the subject of fanfiction.net, I used to go there all the time, but now I only get 20 mins online.

Yea, I know, the movie will be not what we each expect it to be, and I can bet that they will miss out a lot of parts in the book. The Hp movies missed out a lot of the cool parts in the books

Anyway, how cool is that, I read fanfiction as well, and have read a good majority of the AF fanfics there. They are pretty cool and creative, and it would be mad if some of them were real in the AF books

At last! I've read the rest of the thread!
As for romance in the AF books, I once read an interview with Eoin Colfer where he was asked if we could expect some romance in the next book. He said that Artemis wouldn't have any romance, because he was too young. And either fourteen was the oldest he was gonna get or fourteen was the youngest age he could be for any romance. I don't remember! I read the interview like a year or two ago But anyway, he said Arty's too young for any serious love, but there might be crushes!! I'm guessing on either Juliet or Holly...or both! Imagine, Artemis with raging hormones. 
I think he also said there might be actual romance, but for other characters.
P.S. please help me decide what to read for summer reading! There's either Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (Douglas Adams) or And Then There were None (Agatha Christie)
