List Of Foods Affected By Sudan 1

A banned food flavouring has been found in some foods such as worscter sauce (My favourite flavour- it just had to be) walker's crisps and sainsbury's ready meals. And Crosse and Blackwell sauce. It is believed that Sudan 1 can cause cancer, do you believe these claims and what do you think should be done about it. You may also add to the affected food list if you want.

everything causes cancer these days and why is everyone so afraid of dying?
Walkers crisps! You serious?
I didn't know they were in those!!!
They haven't taken them off the shelf anywhere or anything.
AFFECTED FOODS
The affected products have been released in five lists. They are listed here: http://www.food.gov.uk/news/newsarchive/2005/feb/sudanlist#h_4
You're so annoying!
Please don't post multiple lists when a link to the FSAs website will do the same job AND will be automatically updated if more lists are released.
It's worth pointing out the Lee and Perrins Worcester Sauce is NOT affected by this

The deadline for removing affected items from shelves was yesterday. And Walkers crisps, yep, they're affected. Pas de panic, I ate contaminated food yesterday and I'm still alive  Seriously, you have to eat megaloads of it for the risk of cancer to increase slightly.

I wonder why they bother telling people about it then?

Utter tripe... I've had enough of food scares, terrorism, horrible massive epidemics!!!!!!  Take SARS for example... anyone not properly following the story last year would have heard the scale of the news coverage and thought, oh my god, its going to take out the whole human race, when in reality, it claimed only about a thousand or so worldwide... The same is the case with this Sudan-1 rubbish. I mean... how many people are going to have died from cancer caused by a trace carcinogen (sp?) You're far more likely to get cancer from breathing the air than this additive. Damn the media!
*urgh* SARS...i hated it. i was grounded and couldn't go anywhere. school quarentined and we didn't even finish the bloody syllabuses. Our GCSE's that year were messed up.
