...Any males wax/pluck/shave/trim etc. etc. for reasons other than bead growth-prevention? 
yup, few arkward hairs on the top of my back. nothing major, just 3 or 4 in total. thats just pluckage tho, not waxing
I don't I have bushy eyebrows though that my barber will occassioanlly trim down, he only started doing it originally because my g/f at the time use to complain so much and its just sorta stuck

i used to have v bushy eyebrows (im gonna be proper spock like grandad) but i likewise trim them somewhat
I don't think that male grooming is a bad thing. Its nice to see a guy without a monobrow!
