When you buy clothes can you return them at any store?

Basically I made a thread yesterday about taking a skirt back. But I wont be able to go to my new look store that I bought the skirt from, can I give the skirt back at ANY new look store? (eg one that I didnt buy it from) or do you have to take it back to the store where you bought it from?
I have receipts, tages etc.

yeh I should imagine so, I know I've done it with primark clothes (yes that's how classy I am). They might say a returns policy on their website, but I shouldn't imagine it'll be a problem.

I've taken new look items back to a different store several times, however, sometimes if they're a particularly small store they won't accept returned items from elsewhere.

I bought an item at boulington store at Woodward road Clinton and would like to return it at boulington greenbelt( because that is the closet to wear l live) will it be possible for them to accept my returns? Am confused. Thanks.
