Do you mean using the statistics mode on the calculator?

yeh. i don't see any function that allows me to do this on this calculator. Must be able to as most people have this calculator!
Shift+Mode, Statistics, then select 2 (Should say A+BX). This gives a table with two columns.

Input the data, then move to the bottom of the X or Y column using the scroll buttons. Then press Shift+1, and 5 to go to Var. This will give you the option to find n and the mean of x and y. Press = after selecting a function and this will calculate the value for that column. Press Shift+1 again, then select 4 (Sum), this will allow you to choose Exy, Ex2 etc, and select them as before.

Remember to delete any values of n, Ex etc from the table before calculating a new value, as they will be included in the next set of calculations.

Hmm maybe i need to rephrase it. This is for stats S1 paper AS Edexcel Maths, topic Correlation and Regression. If the question is:

Q. If n = 10, Ex = 61 Ex^2 = 521, Ey = 106, Ey^2 = 1424 , Exy = 851 (E being sum of), use calculator to find correlation coefficient

i.e. how do i INPUT these values on this calculator?

There are loads of question in past papers like this surely lots of people know theyre just being lazy! Cmon guys! And also how to find regression line of y on x if given n, Ex, Ey etc??

im not sure what you want to do, but to store numbers as letters, just type the number in, then press equals, then shift then RCL, then choose a letter, either, A B C D X Y M, now you can use these letters in your equations to make your calc look neater
Surely with that information you shouldn't need to input them? You simply put the numerical values into your calculator as you would do for solving any other formula? In S1 they expect you to show use of the formula for find Sxx and Sxy etc. Check the S1 book, it should tell you how to find Sxx, Syy and Sxy, and then how to put these together to find r.

ok this question was not answered all those years ago.

this is exactly what i need to know!! can we help 9 years laters!!!

There is a way to input these 6 figures using the alpha keys and then you press something else and wallah your given the PMCC!!

any help?

thanks
