There is also a big difference between accepting someone different, and making excuses for a defect. Throwing it out, sending it to the shop to have it repaired or going back to the store and exchanging it for a new one is intolerant!

There's no use arguing with him, all he's looking for is to cause trouble and he won't get that by acknowledging your logic and listening to what you have to say.
