He's probably gay, just so far in the closet he's in Narnia (now where did I hear that? )
You used a Gimme Gimme Gimme quote and even toned the language down! Well done!!

You assume that all gay males are effemente. I'm not so there
No, they're not. What about the ones with moustaches that wear those leather caps. They look quite butch.

I really do grow rather tired of people who know absolutely nothing about homosexuality thinking that they're in a position to condemn it. Whoever started this thread is clearly straight, therefore knows bugger all about homosexuality - so I ask: why on Earth are you even bothering to discuss the issue, seeing as it does not affect you in any way?

It really irritates me.

I've posted my views in the other thread.

Me too! It’s even more irritating having to justify it! You shouldn't have to justify who you are.

You don't. Anyone worth anything to you will accept you at face value. I stopped trying to justify myself to others years ago.

I know you don't! But when people come out with totally bigoted remarks such as 'we are genetic freaks' there is something inside you that does want to stand up for who you are and defend yourself.

But I think its wrong that you should have to justify yourself in the first place so its a vicious circle O GRRRRR O

What a ridiculous, bigoted, and therefore down-right hypocritical attitude to take. It's like saying white people don't know anything about black ones, or to use the toaster analogy, it's like saying people who don't have toasters don't know anything about toast. OF COURSE people know, or can find out about things even if they don't "affect them in any way". To suggest that just because something doesn't apply to you then you cannot know anything about it or be in a position to comment is ridiculous.

Its also a question about the right not to be harrased. If one does not fight for the right to be accepted in society sooner or later someone is gonna try to deprive you of it. Blacks didnt get equal rights to whites in america because they ignored insults, they got it because they, and many others beleived in it and fought for the rights they deserved.

You don't deserve to be accepted. You walk around in stupid looking clothing and makeup, looking ridiculous, and acting swishy and limpwristed. That is intolerable in and of itself, but gays are also commonly *****y and catty towards other people, and acting effeminate in combination with acting *****y or catty is too much to tolerate.

Gays also have a reputation for ruining neighborhoods they occupy. In San Francisco there are condoms all over the streets because of homosexuals.

So you saw these homosexuals engage in this activity, therefore, knowing that it was them who littered the condom?

You only have to look at Stephen Fry to see that your generalisations are wrong. He's probably the least effeminate homosexual I can think of. Not all gay people are provocative dressers nor are they all camp.

Steven Fry is gay? I didn't know that. He'd always come across a bit "weird" to me, the way he acts and talks is a bit unusual, but I'd never made the connection.

I think you mean "not always true" as opposed to "wrong" - in many cases he is perfectly correct. His generalisations may not apply to everyone however they are not without reason. While it is clearly incorrect to say "all gays are feminine", the converse of "all feminine men are gay" is far more accurate. Obviously "all" has it's exceptions, but the fact still remains that the majority of feminine males are gay. When people look around and see that almost every feminine man they see is gay they're bound to make the connection, which is how stereotypes form.

Well, either you don't know many people or you're just lying.

Of those that I've met, all of them.

There's someone I know, actually, 2 people I know, that are INCREDIBLY effeminate, but they are definately NOT gay. The gay people I do know, actually are quite, well, butch.

Yes, well like I said - "Obviously "all" has it's exceptions". I obviously can't account for every single feminine or gay person in the world, but there is a definite recurring trait connecting the two.

I was thinking that. I've never come across feminine male homosexuals on video covers to gay porn. Not that I buy any, just been sent unsolicited mail which had a gay section etc....
