Oh dear, another one. This isn't what are think are the "best" ten universities in the UK. Just my preferred ten according to how much I respect them, the quality of living there and atmosphere of the cities and other personal, rather subjective factors.

1. Cambridge
2. Oxford
3. Durham
4. UCL
5. Open University
6. Edinburgh
7. Glasgow
8. Newcastle
9. Cardiff
10. Aberdeen

Bristol, Exeter, Nottingham, St Andrews, Northumbria, Oxford Brookes, Manchester and Leeds all get honourable mentions.

wh00t, someone else who hasn't included Durham in the top 10. Their international reputation is just far too inferior to be within the top 10.
