Plz Help! C1!! watch

1. in the first month after opening a mobile phone shop, a shop sold 280 phones. it will increase by x phones per month for the next 35months.
so for the second month - (280 + 2x)

the shop sets target of 17000 to be sold over the 36 months.
find the least value of x required to achieve this.

------------------------------------------------
2. anyone???

Assume that U(0) = 280 is the first month
U(1) = 280 + x ( because it increases per month in next 35 months)
U(2) = 280 + 2x
...
U(35) = 280 + 35x

To get the success for the shop, the equation must be:

Assume that U(0) = 280 is the first month
U(1) = 280 + x ( because it increases per month in next 35 months)
U(2) = 280 + 2x
...
U(35) = 280 + 35x

To get the success for the shop, the equation must be:
280 + 35x = 17000
<=> x = 477.7

It means that x must be integer so the answer is 478

Is that right???
5. thats wat i was thinkin but its c1 so i wasnt sure whether they wud use such odd values..
